Raphaël Besson is an expert in urban socio-economics and holds a doctorate in territorial sciences. In 2013, he founded Villes Innovations, a consulting firm based in Marseille and Grenoble, specialized in urban innovation strategies and territorial transition policies. He is a researcher associated with the PACTE-CNRS laboratory, and his work focuses on places of knowledge and innovation, territorial cultural policies, urban innovation policies, and approaches that rethink the relationships between man, nature and the living in the urban and territorial fabric. He is a member of CEEBIOS (European Center of Excellence in Biomimicry) and of the Culture(s)-Art-Society Laboratory (LUCAS). Raphaël Besson is also the founder and host of the radio program “Villes renversées”.
